Posted on October 13, 2021

Today, I’m excited to welcome three new Trustees to the SNHU community, who join us with impressive and diverse backgrounds and skill sets. In keeping with our commitment to increase and maintain diversity on the Board of Trustees, these new members bring experience in investment, finance, and technology leadership.

R. Grady Burnett has been a leader and innovator in technology, philanthropy and sports and has spent his career at the intersection of media, technology, and investing. Grady currently serves as  the Co-CEO and Chairman of Macondray Capital, a special purpose acquisition company. Prior to his current role, Grady was cofounder and Managing Partner of Bow Capital, an early-stage technology focused Venture Capital fund, and also served as the COO of HackerRank and COO of Flurry, where he helped lead their sale to Yahoo. Grady also served as the Vice President of Global Sales and Operations at Facebook, where he was responsible for global sales, account management and customer service; the Director of Online Sales and Operations for Google’s AdWords team in North America; and the Vice President of Agency Sales for DoubleClick. In addition to his career in advertising and management, Grady was a professional tennis player on the ATP tour. He serves on the boards of Kaleido Biosciences (Nasdaq: KLDO), Macondray Capital Acquisition Corp. He joined Cruise in 2018 and was appointed the Chief Financial Officer in May of 2020. Bill joined Cruise because he feels strongly that AV technology will have a profound impact on our lives and is excited about the opportunity to play a role. Prior to Cruise, he was a finance executive in the Cloud Business Group at Oracle. Bill also spent 15 years in various leadership roles in the biotech industry at Amgen, UCB and Theravance Biopharma. He began his career as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. Bill earned a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He also holds an MBA from the Wharton Business School.

Diane Tryneski has 25+ years of technology leadership experience with three of the world’s top, publicly held digital and media brands — HBO, The Walt Disney Company, and Discovery Communications. Most recently, she was EVP, Chief Digital Officer & Chief Technology Officer of HBO. Diane led HBO’s global technology vision, strategy, and execution during a period of continuous technological change and market disruption. Under her direction, the company launched HBO NOW, a digital streaming service that served as the foundation for HBO Max. Prior to HBO, Diane was SVP, Television Operations, ABC Television Network at The Walt Disney Company and EVP of Discovery Communications’ Content Production Group. Her industry leadership has been recognized with awards from TVNewsCheck, Multichannel News, and Broadcasting+Cable. Grady, Bill, and Diane are all forward-thinkers with deep backgrounds in innovation. Please join me in welcoming them to the SNHU community.
